ERP and CRM integration: one language of data
ERP and CRM are two systems that speak different languages. Integration isn't copying data — it's a shared field where both systems see the same thing.
The problem
ERP knows what a company sells. CRM knows to whom. But these two systems often don’t talk to each other. Customer data is in one place, invoices in another, orders in a third. Someone re-types the customer number from one system to another. Someone else checks whether an order is in ERP before issuing an invoice.
This isn’t a technology problem. It’s the lack of a shared field.
What integration means
ERP and CRM integration isn’t copying data from one system to another. It’s creating a shared field where both systems see the same thing: customer number, order status, contact history.
When a customer calls with an invoice question, the person in CRM sees the same invoice that’s in ERP. When the warehouse ships an order, CRM knows it was shipped. One field, one source of truth.
How we build it
We don’t build integrations from scratch. We use what the company already has: APIs, webhooks, shared databases. Sometimes it’s a simple bridge between two systems. Sometimes a middleware layer that translates data from one format to another.
One workflow, not three separate ones. One scheme, one measurement.
What stays with the person
The person stays with decisions: unusual configuration, negotiating terms, resolving discrepancies. The rest — number, status, date — moves on by itself.
